Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual counseling sessions via video chat, focusing on improving clients' overall mental health and well-being.

• Guide clients in exploring their emotions and personal experiences to foster self-awareness and enhance interpersonal relationships.

• Act as an advocate for clients by helping them define their personal goals and objectives for therapy.

• Assess clients’ mental health status, develop tailored treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions using a solution-focused approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor at Guide Point, you will primarily work with screened adult clients, characterized as stable individuals with low acuity needs. We ensure that our clients are well-matched to therapists according to areas of specialty and demographic preferences, enabling you to utilize your unique skills and experience effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.

• Licensing: Candidates must be fully licensed by the state board of California and in good standing to practice independently. Acceptable licenses include:

• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature are essential to support clients effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
