Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, utilizing diagnostic tools and evaluation methods to tailor personalized rehabilitation plans.
• Implement and monitor treatment regimens that focus on improving mobility, reducing pain, enhancing balance and flexibility, and optimizing functional abilities.
• Educate patients and their families on effective recovery exercises and health management strategies, ensuring a solid understanding of their treatment plans.
• Participate in clinical teaching, including the instruction of physical therapy interns, residents, and other health professionals, enhancing their learning experience through direct involvement.
• Prepare and conduct at least one relevant in-service education session annually, sharing knowledge and insights with staff to elevate the quality of care.
• Contribute to a culture of inquiry by initiating and supporting clinical research within your area of expertise, guided by the clinic manager.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your role will involve developing individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs, fostering a supportive environment that encourages progress and healing. Engaging with diverse patient populations, you will adapt approaches to meet various levels of physical ability and health literacy.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Master's Degree is preferred.
• An active Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, specifically in orthopedic physical therapy settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with patients and effectively collaborating with colleagues.
