Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history and formulate effective treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to facilitate trauma recovery and promote resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patient sessions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy meetings that allow clients to process their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and cultivate pathways to healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a holistic and comprehensive approach to each patient's care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during acute trauma-related emergencies, utilizing strong assessment and decision-making skills.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and available coping resources to enhance their understanding and support network.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings and engage in continuing education opportunities focused on trauma-informed care best practices.

• Stay current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals struggling with trauma-related conditions, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patient population is diverse, encompassing adults and adolescents who are often navigating the aftermath of significant life events or chronic exposure to stressors. Your expertise will provide critical support as they pursue healing and recovery in a safe and affirming environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Maryland.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-related disorders.

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles and effective treatment modalities.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology for client management.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster trust and rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
