VP, Enterprise Technology

Technology Leadership Role – Vice President Level |Full-Time | Remote

\n

\n

Serena & Lily is investing in its enterprise systems as a strategic priority — improving how the business plans, sources, manages product information, and operates across merchandising and finance. The VP, Enterprise Technology owns the systems and teams at the center of that effort: ERP (NetSuite), Merchandising, Planning, Product Information Management (PIM), FP&A, and the integrations connecting them to the digital channel and supply chain. Reporting to the SVP, Technology, this role provides a single accountable leader for the reliability, delivery, and ongoing evolution of this portfolio.

This is a people-first engineering leadership role. The VP builds and develops the team, partners deeply with Merchandising, Planning, and Pricing business leaders to understand process needs, and drives the implementation and ongoing support of the enterprise systems portfolio. Strong engineering judgment combined with genuine understanding of how these business domains work — and what good looks like for the business — is what defines success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities

\n

Enterprise Systems Operations & Delivery

\n

\n
• Own the delivery and ongoing support of the enterprise business application portfolio — ERP (NetSuite), Merchandising, Assortment Planning, PIM, and FP&A — partnering closely with business stakeholders to translate process requirements into reliable, scalable solutions.
\n
• Lead or participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of business systems — PLM, PIM, Assortment Planning, and FP&A tools — managing requirements, vendor assessment, integration design, and go-live execution in support of the company’s enterprise systems strategy.
\n
• Leverage and optimize agentic AI engines across the software delivery pipeline, building on what’s already been adopted and accelerating adoption across engineering.
\n
• Ensure reliability, data integrity, and security across enterprise systems and integrations; partner with DevOps / Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture on observability, deployment pipelines, and environment management.
\n
• Contribute to the multi-year technology roadmap alongside Enterprise Architecture; participate in the technical evaluation and selection of software platforms, tools, and vendor partners — assessing architectural fit, integration complexity, and long-term supportability.

Engineering Leadership & Team Development

\n

\n
• Lead, coach, and grow the Enterprise Systems engineering organization — spanning ERP, Merchandising and Planning systems, and business application integrations — building a capable, engaged team bench.
\n
• Develop engineering managers and technical leads; define clear roles, levels, and growth paths.
\n
• Cultivate an engineering culture of ownership, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
\n
• Protect run-and-operate capacity for always-on business systems (NetSuite / ERP, Merchandising, Planning, PIM, and integrations) so project and implementation work does not starve operations.
\n
• Drive predictable delivery — improving throughput, release predictability, and first-time quality.
\n
• Own hiring, performance management, career development, leveling, and succession across the engineering function; set a high bar for technical excellence and accountability.
\n
• Own the engineering budget — headcount, tooling, vendor contracts, and capex / opex allocation — in partnership with Finance and the SVP, Technology.
\n

Quality & Engineering Health

\n

\n
• Partner with Quality Engineering to embed quality into engineering teams — agentic automated testing, clear definitions of done, and shared quality tooling — rather than relying on a downstream QA gate.
\n
• Establish and monitor engineering health metrics (delivery flow, defect rates, reliability, and technical debt).
\n

\n

Cross-Functional Partnership

\n

\n
• Serve as the primary technology partner for Merchandising, Planning, and Finance / FP&A leaders — translating business process requirements into technical solutions, aligning on priorities, and driving the operability improvements that support the company’s strategic goals.
\n
• Collaborate with TechOps & Security, Data, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes.
\n
• Serve as a senior escalation point for major production incidents affecting digital or enterprise systems.
\n
• Manage ongoing relationships with key technology vendors and partners — including contract renewals, roadmap alignment, and escalation — to protect platform continuity and leverage.

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
\n
• 15+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years leading engineering teams and managing managers at scale.
\n
• Proven track record building and developing high-performing engineering teams supporting business-critical applications, with demonstrated skill developing managers, growing talent, and creating accountability at scale.
\n
• Familiarity with modern application architecture (API-first, cloud-native, headless integrations) and how these patterns apply to connecting enterprise business systems with commerce and digital channels.
\n
• Experience participating in software and vendor selection — defining evaluation criteria, running structured assessments, and making build-vs-buy recommendations; familiarity with eCommerce compliance requirements including PCI-DSS and CCPA.
\n
• Strong command of modern cloud architecture (AWS preferred), CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability.
\n
• Deep experience with enterprise / ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred) and business applications in a retail or DTC context — including Merchandising, Assortment Planning, PIM, or FP&A platforms.
\n
• Experience leading or contributing to the implementation of business systems such as PLM, PIM, Assortment Planning, or FP&A platforms — including requirements gathering, vendor selection, integration design, and rollout.
\n
• Retail, consumer products, or DTC eCommerce experience strongly preferred.
\n

Compensation

\n

\n
• $230-250k per year is the anticipated starting base pay for this role. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as experience, education, and skills.
\n
• This role is eligible for performance-based bonus compensation and equity
\n
• Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance should they choose to participate in Serena & Lily's benefits. Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan. During the first year of employment, full-time employees accrue twenty-one days of PTO and seven paid holidays throughout the year.
