This full-time position is primarily conducted remotely, allowing flexibility while providing essential therapeutic services to those in need.

Work Environment\n

Our counseling center's outpatient office facilitates a collaborative and supportive remote work environment. Employees can connect with colleagues through virtual meetings, ensuring that they remain integrated into a team-oriented atmosphere. We value flexibility with working hours, primarily scheduling sessions from Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, adapting to patients' needs as necessary. A sign-on bonus is available to welcome new team members.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gather comprehensive patient histories and develop effective treatment strategies.

• Design individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery, incorporating techniques to enhance resilience and coping mechanisms.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each client’s unique experiences.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to explore their emotions, learn coping strategies, and share their recovery journeys.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and fellow therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and continuity of treatment.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, guiding patients through acute emotional distress.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to foster understanding and resilience.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and clinical standards.

• Engage in team consultations, share insights in group meetings, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of our practice is on individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of sexual assault, childhood abuse, and other acute stressors. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong theoretical knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Proven ability to remain composed and empathetic in high-stress situations, ensuring effective and supportive patient interactions.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a trauma-informed or mental health setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
