Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual therapy sessions in-home and coordinating group therapy sessions at our outpatient center.

• Providing therapeutic interventions focused on anger management, coping strategies, social skills training, and addressing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.

• Facilitating skill-building workshops to enhance youth and caretaker decision-making capabilities, directly addressing in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to create a holistic approach to support our young clients and their families.
\n
• Ensuring timely documentation of all therapeutic interactions, including clinical notes, treatment plans, and compliance reports.
\n
• Participating in monthly team meetings to present case updates and recommendations for program improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client focus for this role includes children and adolescents aged 3-20 years who experience various developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD). You will be instrumental in providing culturally competent care, particularly for bilingual Spanish or Portuguese-speaking families, addressing their specific needs and ensuring effective communication throughout the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a closely related field.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, predominantly during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with some weekend availability preferred.

• A valid driver's license and a registered vehicle are essential for conducting in-home therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be highly regarded:

Compensation and Benefits\n
