Work Environment

Located in the heart of Tallahassee, our rehabilitation facility offers a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients. As a full-time physical therapist, you will enjoy a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. Our facility is equipped with advanced rehabilitation tools and technologies, including EMR software like WebPT, which streamlines patient management and documentation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and establish individualized care objectives to guide the treatment process.
• Maintain a structured patient load, averaging one patient per hour, to ensure quality and focused care.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans utilizing a mix of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Administer effective, cost-conscious therapies designed to improve range of motion and mobility while reducing dependency on medications.
• Create tailored fitness and wellness programs that align with each patient's specific rehabilitative goals.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment to enhance adherence and optimize recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate multidisciplinary care for patients, ensuring the highest quality of service.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness, documenting progress and maintaining clear communication with patients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will include a diverse population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation and sports injuries. You will interact with patients of all ages, from young athletes returning to competitive sports to older adults seeking to maintain their independence and quality of life. Your role is integral in establishing trust and rapport, essential for fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A clean professional record, with no history of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and exercises designed to improve functional mobility.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Strong familiarity with documentation and EMR software, particularly WebPT.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective exercise programs tailored to diverse patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
