Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be remote, offering flexibility while you engage with clients through telehealth services. You will have your own dedicated virtual workspace, enabling you to provide therapy sessions from the comfort of your home. While the role is remote, you will also have access to our outpatient office in San Antonio for in-person consultations and team meetings, creating a balanced work environment that values both virtual and face-to-face interaction.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Establish and maintain a trusting therapeutic relationship with patients, facilitating an environment that encourages open communication and personal growth.

• Conduct thorough assessments to accurately identify mental health issues and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Implement and deliver therapy sessions that include individual, couple, and family engagements to address the differing needs of your clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Transformative Unicare, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and other mental health disorders. Your therapeutic focus will extend to families aiming to improve their communication dynamics and resolve interpersonal conflicts. You will also engage with patients facing addiction and co-occurring disorders, applying evidence-based interventions to support recovery and wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A valid Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license issued in Texas.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.

• Current addiction therapy certification or significant experience in addiction treatment.

• Proficiency in evidence-based approaches to addiction and co-occurring disorders.

• Superior counseling skills, showcasing empathy, insight, and the ability to motivate clients toward positive change.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, alongside collaborative teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience in an outpatient mental health setting, familiarity with telehealth platforms, and training in specific therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), would be advantageous. Candidates who have worked with diverse populations or possess multilingual skills may find these experiences beneficial for client engagement.
