This position is primarily remote, allowing therapist flexibility while staying connected with our outpatient office team in Rockford, IL. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to each child's unique needs and circumstances.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, accounting for the developmental levels of young patients and the dynamics of their family environments.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address specific mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, guiding parents and caregivers on nurturing and supportive behaviors to enhance their child’s mental well-being.

• Engage in collaborative consultations with child psychiatrists and other team members to ensure that all aspects of the patient's care are addressed holistically.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention for children and adolescents in mental health crises, employing de-escalation techniques and appropriate resources.

• Educate patients and families about mental health issues, available treatments, and community resources, empowering them to navigate their journeys.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system effectively.

• Actively contribute to team meetings and case consultations to enhance team coherence and patient care strategy.

• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry to continually improve your therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 5 to 18, each facing unique mental health challenges. Whether dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or behavioral disorders, your role will be pivotal in promoting successful treatment outcomes through personalized care and family involvement.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, encompassing both diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience providing individual and family therapy, particularly to children and adolescents.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on a compassionate, child-centered approach.

• Proficient use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfort with technology in mental health care.

• A proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive work environment.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
