Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Vent Experience Required)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Weekend requirement applies; holiday work required per contract term

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a hybrid PCU/IMC unit managing diagnoses including DKA, COPD, sepsis, chronic respiratory failure, renal failure, and overdose/suicide presentations
• Monitor and manage cardiac rhythms via remote telemetry; initiate Rapid Response and Code team activation as needed
• Administer IV therapy, blood products, and cardiac drips (no titration); maintain central and peripheral line care
• Deliver ventilator care and airway management for chronic trach and vent-dependent patients
• Implement and maintain isolation precautions in PCU, DOU, IMC, and stepdown settings
• Float within skillset to other units as required by staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia State RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license considered only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, stepdown, or DOU setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and tele-sitting workflows
• Experience managing high-acuity patients including chronic respiratory failure and DKA
