TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified IMC RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24014!

Registered Nurse – Stroke/Neuro PCU (IMC/Stepdown)
Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 4x12 available upon request | Onsite
Provide direct patient care for stroke and neurology patients in a telemetry PCU/stepdown setting
Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response interventions
Administer IV therapy, blood products, and cardiac drips (no titration required) including Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitro, and others
Manage respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
Maintain isolation precautions and operate within telemetry and remote monitoring environments
Float within skillset to other PCU, IMC, and stepdown units as needed
Active Virginia state or Compact RN license (pending license accepted only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state)
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
Demonstrated experience in a Neuro PCU, IMC, or stepdown clinical setting
Ability to work at least one holiday per 13-week contract period
Availability for weekend shifts (every other weekend or 6 shifts per 6-week scheduling block)
Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be considered
Experience with phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
Familiarity with telemetry sitting and remote monitoring workflows
Opportunity to work at a large, Magnet-designated Level I Trauma Center and Joint Commission certified primary stroke center in Virginia
Practice in a specialized neuroscience unit with a staffing goal of 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios
