Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing each client’s specific needs, whether pre-crisis or crisis intervention.

• Create and implement evidence-based behavioral guidelines and risk assessments as part of intervention strategies.

• Utilize recognized screening tools during evaluation processes to gather data that informs therapeutic plans.

• Collaborate closely with clinical teams to design and execute positive behavior support plans for clients with various needs.

• Participate actively in the clinic's licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

• Act as a liaison for clients to access additional services offered by local and state agencies as appropriate.
\n
• Facilitate open communication with stakeholders, including community partners, to not only meet contract standards but also enhance the agency’s mission.

• Develop professional relationships with external agencies, exploring potential collaborations that can expand resources and funding options for our programs.
\n
• Engage in ongoing personal and professional development through workshops, conferences, and networking opportunities that align with mental health advancements.

• Uphold the agency's values and mission in all aspects of your role, contributing to a culture of passion and purpose in mental health care.

• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support operational needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals facing emotional distress, those recovering from substance use issues, and clients with developmental disabilities or brain injuries. Your role will focus on building relationships that empower clients, helping them navigate their challenges and supporting their journey towards recovery and wellness.

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required to ensure candidates have the foundational knowledge needed for effective practice.

• An independent LMHC license is essential, and we support out-of-state licensed counselors with the necessary fees to obtain licensure in New York.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with previous experience in outpatient counseling, trauma-informed care, or community mental health will be highly regarded. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and demonstrated skills in crisis intervention will be beneficial in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
