Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their goals and needs.

• Provide professional counseling services, utilizing evidence-based practices to address a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges.

• Assist clients in navigating public transportation to appointments, manage daily living activities, and encourage independence in daily tasks.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and service outcomes to meet organizational and regulatory standards.

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to an open dialogue to enhance client treatment and care coordination.

• Promote and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards related to mental health services, safeguarding client confidentiality while maintaining program integrity.

• Act as a mentor and positive role model, guiding clients in implementing safety protocols and managing crisis situations effectively.

• Support clients in medication management through reminders and education about the importance of adherence to prescribed regimens.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Brain Power Health Counseling, LLC, you will primarily serve a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults from various backgrounds and cultures. Understanding the unique challenges faced by these populations is vital to delivering appropriate and effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field is required for this position.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California is mandatory. Please note that we cannot accept applicants with an associate license, as they are not billable through Medicare.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, is essential for documentation and communication tasks.

• The ideal candidate should demonstrate a self-directed approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple cases simultaneously.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within community health settings or with a multicultural patient population is preferred.

• Keen understanding of geriatric care is a plus, although not required.
