Key Responsibilities\n

• Maintain a caseload of clients, developing strong therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethics and confidentiality.

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and establish individualized treatment plans, monitoring client progress and adapting strategies as necessary to achieve treatment goals.

• Implement weekly individual therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Regularly document client interactions and progress notes using electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Facilitate discharge planning when appropriate, including aftercare referrals and follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.

• Engage in individual supervision and participate in team meetings, sharing insights and strategies for enhanced client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a counselor at Spence Mind, you will work with a diverse range of clients presenting with various mental health issues, including but not limited to substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. Our client-focused approach centers on understanding each individual’s unique circumstances and challenges, allowing for personalized therapeutic strategies that cater to their specific needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.

• A current, unrestricted LPC license from the state of Texas, enabling you to practice independently without supervision.

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an outpatient setting following graduation, providing hands-on exposure to diverse client needs.

• Exceptional critical thinking, communication, and listening skills, essential for developing lasting relationships with clients and effectively assessing their needs.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in group therapy settings, crisis intervention, and evidence-based treatment methodologies will be given preference. Additionally, familiarity with telehealth systems and remote counseling practices is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Spence Mind offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000. In addition to competitive pay, we provide a fee-for-service model with guaranteed rates that are paid ahead of client collections, meaning you won’t have to wait for reimbursements. Our benefits include:
