Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our modern Rehabilitation Center in Leesburg, Virginia, where you will work closely with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team. Your work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, allowing you a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatments tailored to each patient's specific needs, aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic and prognostic assessments to determine each client's level of function.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on initial evaluations and ongoing assessments while collaborating with physical therapy assistants to ensure appropriate execution of these plans.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual exercises, non-manual activities, traction, and massage, while providing motivation and guidance to clients.
• Evaluate prosthetic and orthotic devices to ensure they meet the needs of patients, making recommendations for modifications to optimize performance.
• Regularly observe and document patient progress, providing comprehensive updates to physicians and case managers regarding any changes in condition or response to therapy.
• Conduct on-site functional assessments to refine treatment plans and ensure community resources are utilized effectively.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, actively contributing to the planning and evaluation of treatments to achieve cohesive patient care.
• Instruct clients and their families in the proper use of therapeutic devices and the overall physical therapy program.
• Complete all required clinical records including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes in a timely manner, adhering to organizational policies.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Creative and analytical thinking abilities to personalize therapy approaches.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, as some positions may require travel to patients' homes.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of one year of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, ideally within acute care or home care settings.
• Experience in developing interdisciplinary care plans and participating in case conferences.

Compensation and Benefits
