Work Environment

The working environment at our rehabilitation center is collaborative and patient-centric. You will be joining a small, interdisciplinary team composed of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Working onsite, you will have access to private treatment rooms and advanced rehabilitation equipment, all designed to create a conducive atmosphere for recovery and professional development. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a consistent schedule that supports work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical abilities and discuss their personal goals to establish individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care by implementing effective evidence-based treatment techniques to improve motion and functional abilities.
• Limit patient loads to one individual per hour to ensure personalized attention and care quality.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education, to promote recovery.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, modifying treatment plans as necessary and providing timely feedback.
• Offer alternative treatment options that minimize the need for medication and invasive procedures whenever possible.
• Facilitate educational discussions with patients on injury prevention and strategies for maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.
• Keep detailed, accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with clinic policies and EMR software (such as WebPT).
• Engage in interdisciplinary communication with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is mandatory for this position.
• Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia is required.
• Clean record with no board actions or disciplinary issues against the license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and the ability to create effective exercise routines.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with a variety of treatment techniques, including but not limited to therapeutic modalities and exercise prescriptions.
• Experience in developing wellness and fitness programs customized to individual needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience.
