Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and mental health evaluations to determine clients' needs and treatment goals.
\n
• Document and track clients' progress meticulously through comprehensive case management from intake to discharge.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies.
\n
• Monitor and assess clients' progress regularly, modifying treatment approaches as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers to coordinate care and ensure holistic support for clients.
\n
• Engage with clients' families and primary caregivers to provide psychoeducation and resources for improved mental health management.
\n
• Identify and address barriers to recovery, developing strategies that promote health and avoid regression.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a varied client base, including individuals, couples, families, and groups facing a range of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use issues. Understanding the unique dynamics of these populations will allow you to provide tailored interventions that respect individual differences and encourage growth.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure in California as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuinely empathetic approach to client care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of professional experience as a mental health counselor.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms, to ensure efficient documentation and client care management.

• Experience working with individuals facing both mental health and addiction challenges.
\n
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
\n
• In-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their implications for therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a generous sign-on bonus.
