Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments during initial client consultations, effectively documenting progress throughout the therapeutic process.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health by utilizing standard assessment tools and methods.

• Develop customized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups that are aligned with clients' unique needs and goals.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster healing and growth.

• Monitor clients' progress in treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.

• Maintain communication with medical staff regarding clients admitted to hospitals for psychiatric care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing acute mental health crises, chronic mental health conditions, and those seeking general therapeutic support. Your expertise will be crucial in helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and addiction. The counselor's ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to varied demographics ensures that all clients receive personalized and effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Proven success with passing the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating comprehensive clinical knowledge and skills.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR, for documenting and tracking client progress.

• In-depth awareness of the effects of pharmacologic interventions prescribed by medical professionals on patient mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
