Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and compassionate assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use issues, accurately identifying co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans that leverage evidence-based therapies tailored to their specific mental health and substance use needs.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions using methodologies such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), focusing on skill development and relapse prevention.

• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, enhancing communication among psychiatrists, nurses, and other specialists to ensure a holistic treatment approach.

• Regularly monitor client substance use and progress, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to encourage sustained recovery and engagement.

• Educate clients and their families on the complex relationship between mental health disorders and substance use, reinforcing the importance of compliance with treatment protocols.

• Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation regarding treatment plans, interventions, progress notes, and referrals following all ethical and legal standards.

• Actively participate in case conferences and staff meetings to advance therapeutic practices and share insights about co-occurring disorder management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be directly supporting a diverse clientele, including individuals grappling with a range of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD, alongside substance use disorders. Your interventions will be pivotal in providing functional support, equipping clients with the necessary tools to navigate their recovery journey effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies for treating co-occurring disorders and a solid understanding of their complexities.
