Work Environment\n

This position embraces a flexible, remote work setting with occasional travel to meet clients in their home environments or at our outpatient clinic. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team, allowing for a rich exchange of ideas and methodologies to ensure the best therapeutic outcomes. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions, either in clients' homes or via telehealth platforms.

• Implement strategies to assist clients with anger management, social skills, and coping mechanisms while addressing high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.

• Work closely with adolescents and their caregivers to enhance their decision-making capabilities, equipping them to manage behavioral challenges within the home environment.
\n
• Document all relevant case information such as intake assessments, customized treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely and compliant manner.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss case progress, share insights, and collaborate on new strategies for patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting children and adolescents aged 3-20 with a range of needs associated with developmental disabilities and cognitive impairments. Working with a diverse client base, you will develop individualized strategies that respect each child's unique circumstances while promoting their overall well-being and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Availability to work between 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with opportunities for weekend work.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for home visits.
\n
• A successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and integrating behavioral interventions.
\n
• Prior work with children and adolescents is highly preferred, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Compensation and Benefits\n
