Work Environment\n

You will have the flexibility of a remote work setting while being part of a collaborative outpatient office environment. Your work schedule will primarily consist of Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, with occasional flexibility to adjust for patient needs. This role will enable you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while still being integral to our team and our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, utilizing culturally appropriate evaluation methods to craft personalized treatment plans for each patient.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to diverse backgrounds, ensuring accessibility and relevance to each patient’s individual circumstances.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a wide range of mental health challenges, enhancing resilience and overall well-being.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care, ensuring comprehensive treatment progression.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to patients experiencing mental health emergencies, demonstrating calm and connection in high-stress situations.

• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, aiding in informed decision-making regarding their health.

• Maintain detailed and secure documentation of sessions and patient interactions, adhering to legal and ethical standards regarding confidentiality.

• Engage in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing cultural competency training sessions to continually enhance service delivery.

• Stay abreast of recent research, best practices, and cultural trends in mental health therapy to ensure responsive and effective service provision.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will directly impact individuals from diverse backgrounds facing complex mental health issues. You will engage with patients from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant populations, allowing for the development of tailored therapeutic strategies that honor the individuality of each patient’s experience and cultural context.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Oregon.

• Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders, effective treatment methodologies, and the principles of cultural competency in therapy.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy with an emphasis on inclusive approaches that respect diverse backgrounds.

• Strong crisis intervention skills and capacity to function effectively during challenging situations.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications for documentation and reporting.

• Commitment to upholding professional boundaries, ethical guidelines, and safeguarding patient confidentiality.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will ideally have several years of clinical experience, especially in settings focused on multicultural populations. Familiarity with community resources and ongoing engagement in professional development and training in leading mental health practices will be advantageous.
