Business Development Manager, Combo Whiskey CPWS, Moet Hennessy - Miami

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits – Miami, FL Job Summary The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for managing and strategically growing Moët Hennessy’s business through influential leadership. Primary Responsibilities Accountable for achieving revenue, margin, and gross profit targets as set by the Sales Director. Communicate local program spending effectiveness to maximize the company’s profits and determine the ROI on focused initiatives. Drive category objectives, key performance indicators, and targets by implementing strategies and tactics while cultivating sustainable long‑term growth with customers. Accelerate Moët Hennessy brand growth quicker than assigned category within allotted accounts. Visit assigned account universes on a regular basis. Partner with sales consultants and area managers to inform/educate on programs, tools, and execution in assigned account universes. Develop key account relationships, becoming a trusted advisor. Identify market trends and developments in product categories, geographic regions, and across the entire account base to become the category expert. Advise customers and influence shelf space and menu placements. Conduct customer staff training on focus categories/brands. Coordinate and attend on‑site promotional functions (e.g., launches, tastings, dinners). Sell activation at the account level, working with agencies to execute. Perform market surveys to document execution. Track KPIs such as PODS, menus, features, displays, shelf ads, education, trade engagement, staff training, events, and digital engagement. Provide recaps of market opportunities and successes. Collaborate with CPWS Trade Development & Moët Hennessy supplier teams to localize tools for programming, activation, education & execution. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. At least 21 years of age. 3‑5 years of industry‑related sales experience. Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, statute registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record. Ability to manage and stay within an assigned budget. Demonstrate a strategic, analytical thinking process and a clear understanding of financial acumen. Ability to analyze data to anticipate issues and model solutions proactively. Strong communication, organization, and commercial planning capabilities. Proficiency with Compass, Diver, Excel, and Proof. Understand supplier strategies and align with internal and external teams. Preferred Qualifications One year of demonstrated supervisory experience. Ability to prioritize multiple projects on time and budget. Working knowledge of finance and accounting practices. Success in building and improving relationships with suppliers and buyers across the region. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and quantitative analysis skills. Strong planning and organizational skills for a fast‑paced environment. Excellent customer service skills in all interactions. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills for cross‑department collaboration. Physical Demands Extended periods of sitting and typing/key‑boarding using a computer or mobile device. Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping. Work week often exceeds 40 hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Occasional lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 40 lbs.
