This position is fully remote, utilizing a telehealth platform that enables mental health professionals to conduct assessments and therapy sessions from the comfort of their homes. Our team operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as required by patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the specific needs and challenges faced by older adults, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their physical, cognitive, and emotional conditions.

• Deliver individual and family therapy sessions aimed at addressing geriatric psychiatric conditions, with a focus on enhancing coping strategies and emotional resilience.

• Work closely with our team of geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to integrate care—providing a holistic approach that encompasses both psychological and medical health.

• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate support and appropriate resource allocation for elderly patients.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, effective treatment options, and available community resources to foster collaboration in care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions, adhering to established legal and ethical guidelines.

• Actively participate in weekly team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities, contributing insights and learning from others.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client base for this position consists of elderly individuals facing common psychiatric challenges, such as depression, anxiety, cognitive decline related to dementia, and adjustments to later life changes. Our therapy aims to improve the mental health outcomes for these patients while also addressing their unique, multifaceted needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure in the state of Illinois as an LCSW, LPC, LCPC, or LMFT.

• Two or more years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, particularly with a geriatric population, is preferred.

• A strong foundation in geriatric mental health disorders, along with knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in conducting individual and family therapy for older adults is essential.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an empathetic, patient-centered approach.

• The ability to establish rapport and trust with elderly clients and their families is paramount.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and essential computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting the individual’s experience and qualifications.
