Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, or chronic conditions impacting their orthopedic health.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that incorporate a combination of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and advanced modalities to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Utilizing clinical judgment to track and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on individual responses.
• Teaching patients exercises and techniques for self-management, including the use of assistive devices, while ensuring caregivers understand the rehabilitation process.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy practices by engaging in ongoing education, attending workshops, and contributing to professional organizations.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to review patient cases and collaborate with other health professionals to optimize patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be on patients with orthopedic concerns, including but not limited to post-operative recovery, sports injuries, degenerative conditions, and rehabilitative care required after trauma. As a PT, you will cater to a wide demographic, providing tailored physical therapy interventions that address the unique needs and goals of each patient, empowering them to achieve their highest functioning level.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective patient education and documentation.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility as patient needs evolve.

Preferred Experience
