Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the needs of students and gather pertinent background information.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific mental health issues, fostering emotional well-being, resilience, and integration into the school community.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored for various conditions including ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, and trauma to facilitate personal growth.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, equipping students with effective coping strategies and enhancing their emotional regulation skills.

• Collaborate with educators, speech and occupational therapists, and parents to ensure integrated and holistic support for each student.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during acute mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students involved.

• Deliver psychoeducation for students and families about mental health issues, providing resources and strategies for sustained support beyond the classroom.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on students with a broad spectrum of special needs, including but not limited to those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD, and those who have experienced trauma. You'll engage directly with students, families, and educators to create a supportive network that fosters individual growth and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
\n
• A strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment models, and trauma-informed care.

• Possession of effective communication and interpersonal skills with a keen ability to build rapport with students and families.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of experience post-licensure working with youth in a mental health or educational setting is preferred.

• Experience providing individual and group therapy, with a demonstrated ability to apply various therapeutic modalities.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer skills to facilitate accurate documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
