Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for clients to identify their mental health needs and formulate individualized treatment plans.

• Facilitate effective therapy sessions, both individually and within group settings, employing evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

• Provide specialized care for clients dealing with conditions such as PTSD, assuring a nurturing and empathetic therapeutic environment for effective healing.
\n
• Manage cases with expertise by coordinating various services and resources, including making referrals to additional healthcare professionals when necessary.
\n
• Document client progress meticulously, adhering to ICD-9 standards and utilizing our integrated electronic health record (EHR) system.
\n
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to share insights, enhance patient care quality, and engage in collective problem-solving strategies.

• Participate in child-family counseling sessions to address family dynamics, support interpersonal relationships, and promote healthy family interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at PROMIS Neurodevelopmental, you will work with a diverse range of clients who may be experiencing various mental health challenges, relationship issues, and family dynamics. Our clientele includes individuals from all walks of life, with a particular focus on children, couples, and families affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship distress. Your role is crucial in helping them navigate these challenges and enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• A current and unrestricted license to practice in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a therapeutic setting is essential.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective during crisis situations, utilizing clinical skills to support clients in distress.
\n
• Capacity to work flexibly with clients facing a wide array of issues, including mental health disorders and complex family dynamics.
\n
• Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines and regulations, including HIPAA compliance, to ensure client confidentiality and safety.

Preferred Experience\n

• Master's degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related discipline.

• Experience working with children, couples, or families for one year or more.
\n
• Ability to engage effectively in therapeutic activities that require acute interpersonal skills.

• Experience in managing caseloads, as well as evaluating and adjusting treatment plans based on client progress.

• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and an eagerness to stay current with industry best practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
