Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather key insights into clients' experiences and treatment needs.

• Craft and execute individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and promote resilience, incorporating evidence-based practices.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, implementing specialized therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for clients with complex needs.

• React promptly to crisis situations, offering critical support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping strategies to foster understanding and empowerment.

• Ensure meticulous documentation of treatment sessions in compliance with both ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care and therapeutic excellence.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a richly diverse patient population, predominantly focusing on individuals experiencing trauma-related disorders. Our clients come from various backgrounds, often seeking support for complex emotional and psychological challenges. You will have the opportunity to support both individuals and couples, enriching your practice with varied therapeutic engagements, and you will receive training for couples counseling if needed.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.

• A strong foundation in trauma-informed care principles and practices.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health settings is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
