Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgeries, conducting initial assessments to determine their specific needs.
• Establish comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient goals using evidence-based techniques such as exercise, stretching, hands-on therapy, and therapeutic modalities.
• Implement treatment plans while tracking patient progress and making necessary adjustments to address changes in their condition.
• Document patient treatments and progress meticulously to maintain comprehensive medical records and facilitate communication among healthcare team members.
• Educate patients and their families on appropriate exercises, the use of assistive devices, and best practices for rehabilitation at home.
• Continuously evaluate therapy effectiveness and set new therapeutic goals as patients progress through the rehabilitation process.
• Engage in professional development by attending workshops and staying updated on current physical therapy practices and innovations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes children, adults, and the elderly dealing with a variety of conditions, from sports injuries to post-surgical recovery and chronic pain management. The ideal therapist will possess the skills and sensitivity to treat diverse populations, tailoring interventions based on individual patient histories and recovery milestones.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid Physical Therapy License in the State of Florida.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and healthcare colleagues.
• Proficient in computer skills including electronic patient records, as well as word processing for documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to remain flexible and agile in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of previous experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably within a rehabilitation or clinical setting.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations and a solid understanding of various therapeutic modalities would be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
