Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities and limitations, devising personalized treatment plans that align with physician recommendations.
• Implement diverse therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each patient, employing modalities that include manual therapy, exercise, and education on injury prevention.
• Cultivate strong therapeutic relationships by demonstrating exceptional customer service, ensuring patients feel valued and understood throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, leveraging best practices and evidence-based care to optimize patient outcomes and enhance recovery processes.
• Provide education to patients and their caregivers regarding treatment protocols, expectations, and self-management strategies to empower them in their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will have the opportunity to treat a diverse array of patients, including those with orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine conditions. Your role will involve assisting individuals of all ages, from young athletes to seniors, helping them regain their strength and functional abilities following injury, illness, or surgery.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure a comprehensive understanding of current practices and methodologies.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is essential for providing treatment within Florida.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant field is necessary, ensuring the ability to handle complex cases effectively.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association is required to guarantee patient safety.
