Support special education through a unique evaluation team paraprofessional opportunity, focusing on behind-the-scenes collaboration with special education staff. Based at a central location in Champlin, MN and traveling among local schools, you’ll play a vital role in the evaluation process—without direct daily student interaction. This contract position runs from September 8, 2026, to June 8, 2027. Work Monday through Friday for 32.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist special education staff with student evaluations by managing files, preparing testing protocols, and organizing student records.
- Conduct student observations and write detailed reports to support evaluation teams.
- Collaborate closely with staff to facilitate smooth testing and documentation processes.
- Ensure timely purging and transfer of student files back to schools.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy in all documentation.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Meet one of the following: successful completion of the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam) or 60 college credits with official transcripts provided.
- Proven ability to work independently, stay organized, and keep up with a fast-paced workload.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
- Experience supporting special education teams or prior work as a school paraprofessional is helpful.
- Must be highly qualified before presentation—submissions must include a resume and a qualifying document (official transcript or exam score).
Benefits include a pay rate of $20 per hour, with the possibility of district direct hire following 422 contract hours.
