Make a direct impact on middle school students by serving as a highly-qualified paraprofessional. This contract opportunity offers meaningful engagement at one of several welcoming school sites in the Anoka-Hennepin area. Successful candidates will become an essential support for students and educators, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Must meet ONE of the following:
- Pass the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam)
- Completion of at least 60 college credits (official college transcripts required)
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in an educational support role preferred
- Willingness to provide personal care assistance, including toileting support for students as needed
- Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility, compassion, and a genuine passion for student achievement
- Candidates must provide a current resume AND a Highly-Qualified Document (transcripts or exam results) at application
Role & Responsibilities:
- Support students in classroom activities, individual and small-group settings, and behavioral needs
- Foster positive relationships to promote social and academic growth
- Assist educators in implementing lesson plans and individualized educational programs (IEPs)
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies at all times
- Commit to a full 32.5-hour work week, Monday through Friday, for the contract duration
Enjoy a stable contract role from late August through late November with an opportunity to convert to direct hire based on performance. Compensation is set at $20 per hour in alignment with district parameters.
