Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations during initial consultations, recording individual client histories and progress.
\n
• Develop tailored recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups facing various challenges.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing a range of therapeutic modalities to promote healing.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress consistently in line with their treatment plans, adjusting strategies based on their feedback and needs.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic care and shared intervention strategies.

• Assist in crisis management by identifying behaviors that may hinder recovery and implementing appropriate preventive measures.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges and fostering supportive home environments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from various backgrounds and experiences, encompassing a wide spectrum of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will engage with clients of different ages and demographics, ensuring that culturally competent care is provided and that every individual feels heard and understood. Your role will be pivotal in helping clients navigate their personal journeys towards healing and mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A passing score on the NCE and/or the NCMHCE is mandatory for application.

• Demonstrated previous experience in a mental health counseling role.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR is highly advantageous.

• Understanding of mental and emotional health conditions, along with addiction disorders, is essential.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices according to the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal abilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000.
