Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations and consultations with patients to assess their physical conditions and identify specific symptoms that require attention.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and assistive device training to enhance mobility and independence.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises they can perform at home to support their recovery goals.
• Provide skilled interventions, such as massage or manual stimulation, to facilitate healing and progress toward rehabilitation objectives.
• Assist patients in mastering the use of mobility equipment including walkers and wheelchairs, ensuring they feel safe and confident.
• Document detailed patient records, tracking treatment goals, progress, and any adjustments needed in therapy protocols.
• Advise families on effective in-home treatment options and recommend exercises to continue strengthening patients' abilities between therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.

• Proficient in using basic computer software for documentation and patient record management.
• Possess a flexible and adaptive mindset, capable of thriving in varied environments, particularly in patients' homes.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of physical therapy, particularly in home health settings.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Familiarity with the latest rehabilitation practices and equipment.

Compensation and Benefits
