Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms. Utilize standardized assessment tools and interviews to inform clinical decision-making.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, preferences, and goals, with an emphasis on evidence-based interventions.

• Implement therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adjusting strategies based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families about mood disorders, effective coping mechanisms, and available treatment options, fostering a supportive atmosphere for recovery.

• Monitor and document client progress meticulously through electronic health records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, while making timely adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing mood disorders, including conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. You will engage a diverse clientele, necessitating cultural competency and an understanding of varying therapeutic needs across different demographics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• Two years of post-licensure clinical experience, particularly in treating mood disorders, is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities like CBT and DBT is essential for this role.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and its implications on therapeutic interventions, with the ability to effectively communicate with other healthcare professionals regarding client care.
