Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and identify applicable treatment methodologies.

• Develop and implement bespoke treatment plans that are centered on trauma recovery, incorporating techniques aimed at enhancing emotional resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy settings.

• Deliver engaging and supportive therapy sessions, facilitating patient processes of healing, developing coping strategies, and processing past traumas.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create integrated care plans that address both psychological and physical health needs.

• Provide crisis intervention strategies during trauma bursts or emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective support for patients in distress.

• Educate patients and families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources for sustained support.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation that adheres to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to the evolution of trauma-informed best practices within our organization.

• Stay well-informed about the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to continuously improve therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base consists primarily of individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and related disorders. As a mental health counselor, you will play a pivotal role in helping patients process their experiences, gain insights into their emotional responses, and implement effective coping strategies for long-term recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW , LPC , or LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania.
\n
• Proficient integration of trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• Ability to remain composed in high-stress scenarios, reflecting our commitment to patient-centered care.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of post-licensure experience preferred, focusing on trauma-related treatment modalities.
