Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform detailed initial assessments and document findings, tracking client progress from intake through discharge.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, employing evidence-based practices to inform your clinical judgments.

• Create and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions, guiding clients through various therapeutic modalities and ensuring a safe, trusting environment.

• Monitor client progression in line with treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary based on feedback and clinical observations.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other mental health specialists, medical doctors, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.

• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients admitted to medical facilities to ensure continuity of care.

• Identify and mitigate behavioral challenges that could hinder clients' recovery processes.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the dynamics of mental health issues within their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a wide range of clients, from children and adolescents to adults and families, all facing varying levels of mental health challenges. Your compassionate approach will assist clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, with a track record of successful client outcomes.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.

• A deep understanding of associated physical and mental health challenges, along with experience in treating addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on empathy and rapport-building.

• Excellent interpersonal reactions and a commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
