This role is structured to accommodate a remote work setting, allowing therapists to provide individualized treatment sessions from the comfort of their own homes while ensuring high-quality care. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual treatment sessions in accordance with tailored therapeutic frameworks, utilizing a structured approach to motivate and empower youth.

• Assist children and adolescents in addressing critical issues such as anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development. For example, you may guide a client through role-playing scenarios to help them navigate social interactions more effectively.

• Support clients with high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behaviors or aggression, by utilizing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques.

• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care, participating in case consultations and strategy meetings.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of all treatment sessions, including intake records, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations to enhance treatment frameworks and client care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with our organization, you will be working primarily with children and adolescents aged 3-20, many of whom face challenges related to intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). You will help these young individuals navigate their emotions and behaviors, equipping them with tools necessary to thrive both personally and socially. Your therapeutic interventions will make a substantial impact not only on the youth but also on the caregivers, fostering strong family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field is mandatory.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Oregon must be held.
\n
• Availability for at least 5-10 hours weekly during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend flexibility regarded as a significant asset.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience providing positive behavior support strategies effectively.

• Experience working with children and adolescents aged 3-20, particularly those diagnosed with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle, as travel may be necessary for in-home sessions.

• Completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
