Touchstone Therapy Center is seeking an empathetic and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team in providing essential mental health support to individuals affected by trauma. As a full-time member, you will work remotely while interacting directly with patients in an outpatient office setting, focusing on delivering comprehensive mental health care tailored to each individual's unique experiences and challenges.

As a remote position, you will benefit from a flexible work environment that promotes work-life balance while ensuring you can provide high-quality care from the comfort of your home. Our team operates collaboratively, leveraging technology to conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and treatment planning. While the primary schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility will be required to accommodate patients' needs and appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' histories and to formulate effective treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies that focus on recovery from trauma and the enhancement of coping mechanisms.
\n
• Utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patient healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to encourage open discussions, provide coping strategies, and promote emotional processing among patients.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for each patient.
\n
• Conduct crisis interventions during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support and guidance to affected individuals.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, available resources, and ongoing treatment processes.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, as well as to enhance the continuity of care.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and development workshops that focus on best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Stay abreast of the latest research findings and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously improve your skills and approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including abuse, neglect, or other life-altering events. This role requires a deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and a commitment to helping patients navigate their healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly with trauma-affected populations.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Experience with evidence-based therapies, particularly EMDR and TF-CBT, is a significant asset.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and understanding approach.
\n
• Ability to remain composed and professional in high-pressure circumstances.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications to manage patient records effectively.
\n
• Ability to work successfully within a multidisciplinary team and foster a collaborative environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
