Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand clients' trauma experiences and establish effective treatment plans.

• Implement and monitor individualized treatment strategies focused on trauma recovery, resilience, and coping skill development.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during therapeutic sessions.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions that facilitate emotional healing and the development of coping mechanisms for clients.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring client safety and emotional stabilization.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and the resources available for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation that adheres to ethical and legal standards within the mental health field.

• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings focused on trauma-informed care practices and continuing education.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance professional competence and therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at El Gloria Counseling Center, you will work primarily with adults and adolescents who have experienced various forms of trauma. Our clients often present with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and related mental health challenges. You will focus on building trusting relationships with these individuals, helping them process their trauma and develop the skills necessary for emotional resilience and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital communication tools.

Compensation and Benefits\n
