Atlas Psychological and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote telehealth practice in Worcester, Massachusetts. This full-time position focuses on providing specialized mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma. Work Environment\n

In this remote role, you will leverage telehealth technology to connect with patients in a convenient and flexible manner. While the office operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some variability in scheduling will be necessary to accommodate patient needs. Working from home will provide you with the autonomy to create an effective and comfortable workspace, while still engaging with a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history, emotional state, and treatment needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing strategies to help patients process traumatic experiences, build resilience, and foster coping mechanisms.
\n
• Coordinate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and ensure the holistic treatment of each patient.

• Offer crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and implement coping strategies, as well as provide them with information about beneficial resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings and continue to engage in professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance your therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patients you will work with are individuals affected by trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The treatment is tailored to meet the varied needs of each patient, addressing their specific symptoms and fostering an environment that promotes healing and resilience. You will be instrumental in guiding them through their recovery journeys, utilizing a compassionate and individualized approach.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment techniques.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong capacity for empathy and non-judgmental communication.

• Ability to remain composed during stressful situations and provide effective support to patients.
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technologies.

• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on trauma.

• Hands-on experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that have demonstrated effectiveness in clinical practice.
