Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews and accurately document case histories from the initial consultation through the conclusion of treatment.
\n
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform individualized therapeutic strategies.
\n
• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, applying appropriate therapeutic modalities based on client needs.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
\n
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including specialists, doctors, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers regarding clients who may require hospitalization or additional support.
\n
• Identify and address behaviors that impede client recovery, equipping clients and their families with effective coping strategies.

• Support family members and primary caregivers by providing guidance and resources to manage mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will find themselves working with a diverse range of clients, from individuals seeking support for anxiety and depression to families navigating complex interpersonal dynamics. Our clients often include those dealing with trauma, addiction disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your expertise and sensitivity will be paramount as you guide clients on their journey to improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counseling Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong foundational knowledge of counseling theories and practices, especially those relevant to the current mental health landscape.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on telehealth.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to maintain accurate documentation and enhance client care.

• Experience addressing mental health issues in conjunction with physical health conditions and substance addiction.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• An in-depth understanding of medications prescribed by medical professionals and their potential effects on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
