Work Environment\n

This role is based in a remote setting, allowing you to work comfortably from home while engaging with clients via teletherapy. Our outpatient model emphasizes flexibility, ensuring you can provide optimal support to your clients while balancing your personal commitments. Utilizing modern telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems like AVATAR, you will maintain comprehensive documentation and communication with clients and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews to gather relevant information about clients and their mental health history to document each case from initiation to completion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through standardized assessment tools and personal interviews, creating an empathetic atmosphere for open dialogue.
\n
• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, incorporating evidence-based strategies tailored to each client's unique needs.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions where clients can share experiences and support one another in a guided setting.
\n
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress relative to their treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with other mental health specialists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to create integrated care plans that comprehensively address client needs.
\n
• Provide follow-up support to clients, including coordinating with psychiatrists and attending physicians for those requiring hospitalization to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Identify and proactively manage factors that hinder recovery, employing therapeutic techniques to prevent crisis situations.
\n
• Guide and educate family members and primary caregivers to help them navigate the mental health challenges faced by loved ones.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A passing score obtained on the National Counselors Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Exam (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years preferred) in providing mental health counseling in an outpatient setting.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Strong understanding of common physical and emotional health conditions as well as addiction disorders.
\n
• Expertise in American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and an ability to connect with clients on a personal level.
\n

• Experience working with a diverse client population, including various age groups and cultural backgrounds.

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices.

• Prior experience in a telehealth setting is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
