Transdevin Essex County in West Orange, NJis hiring a Reservationist.The Reservationistassiststhe clients schedule trips with our Drivers. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

  • $16.50/hour (Union Collective Bargaining AgreementPayScale)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process new employee files & records andsubmitthem to the General Manager for approval;submitappropriate paperworkto the regional accounting office.
  • Calculate & input driver & staff payroll into system for processing.
  • Track attendance for part-time employees.
  • Responsible for fare reconciliationand deposits.
  • Assist General Manager in accurately tracking overtime to reduce andeliminateunnecessary and/oradditionalpunch hours.
  • Other duties asrequired.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
  • Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject toDOTdrug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, workalone,and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 68 hours per day);frequentlywalk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or withoutassistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehiclefumesandnoise.
