Heart and Mind Therapeutic Intervention, LLC is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Counselor to join our team in providing exceptional mental health care aimed at trauma recovery. This full-time position allows for a remote work setting, while the outpatient office in Spokane, Washington remains as your base for patient interactions and collaborations.

Work Environment\n

This role offers a hybrid work setting, where employees can work remotely, but also participate in team-oriented sessions at our outpatient facility. The position is structured Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to accommodate patient scheduling and emergencies as needed.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a valued member of our counseling team, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history and guide treatment planning.

• Creating and executing tailored treatment plans centered around trauma recovery, promoting resilience and positive coping mechanisms.

• Offering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and guidance for clients in distress.
\n
• Educating clients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring transparent communication within the treatment team.

• Engaging in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss client progress and continue professional development focused on trauma-informed care.

• Staying current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients who are trauma survivors, including those dealing with PTSD and various forms of complex trauma. The challenges faced by these individuals require a compassionate, evidence-based approach that fosters a sense of safety and understanding. Your role is integral in helping our clients navigate their healing journeys and achieve meaningful progress in their lives.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the State of Washington.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience focused on trauma-related treatment.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an inherently compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Capability to remain composed in high-pressure scenarios.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.
\n
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
