In this full-time role, you will leverage your expertise to support trauma patients in overcoming mental and emotional challenges. This position primarily allows for remote work while interacting with patients through virtual sessions or in-person consultations at our outpatient facility in Ravena, New York.

Work Environment\n

Your role will predominantly be remote, which allows for flexibility and the convenience of working from home while maintaining communication with our team and clients. Our outpatient office, located in the serene community of Ravena, NY, serves as a collaborative hub for team meetings and in-person evaluations as necessary. You'll have access to computerized records and modern communication tools to enhance the patient experience and maintain efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Active listening and empathy: You will meet with trauma patients, fostering an environment where they feel safe to express their concerns and struggles.

• Assessment and diagnosis: Conduct initial evaluations to diagnose mental health disorders accurately and develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

• Therapeutic intervention: Design and implement evidence-based treatment strategies and coping mechanisms to assist patients in managing their mental health.

• Progress monitoring: Continuously assess and refine treatment plans based on patient progress, ensuring that therapeutic approaches remain relevant and effective.

• Education: Provide resources and guidance to patients and support staff, focusing on coping strategies for stress and trauma recovery.

• Collaboration: Work alongside social workers, healthcare providers, and community organizations to coordinate necessary services and ensure integrated care.

• Professional development: Stay current with the latest practices and methodologies by completing continuing education courses and fulfilling certification requirements, including those for National Certified Counselors.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adult trauma injury patients who are facing various mental and emotional challenges stemming from their experiences. This includes those recovering from life-altering incidents, as well as those dealing with historical trauma. Your role will be crucial in fostering resilience, encouraging hope, and guiding these individuals on their path to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in New York.
\n
• At least three years of demonstrated experience working with trauma patients.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to maintain accurate documentation and engage in administrative tasks.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively connect with clients and collaborate with colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems, particularly Salesforce.

Compensation and Benefits\n
