This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 105,000 annually. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate the needs of clients, and develop personalized, person-centered treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy in individual, family, or group settings, addressing various concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, ensuring all paperwork is completed and submitted within 48 hours of the client appointment.
\n
• Facilitate ongoing collaboration with referral sources and community resources to monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly.
\n
• Prepare and deliver discharge summaries that reflect the client’s treatment and progress for their continued care.
\n
• Provide emergency support as required in accordance with the after-hours on-call schedule.
\n
• Participate actively in programmatic meetings, including clinical supervision and staff gatherings, to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• Perform additional clinical tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the counseling team.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with adults and adolescents, providing tailored therapeutic interventions that cater to their unique mental health needs. By collaborating with various community organizations, the counselor will ensure clients have access to the necessary support and resources that extend beyond therapy sessions.

Qualifications\n

• A valid mental health licensure in the District of Columbia, specifically as an LPC, LICSW, or LMFT.

• A Master’s Degree in a human services-related field is required for this role, ensuring a strong foundation in mental health principles.

• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred; willingness to undergo training is acceptable.
