Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client symptoms related to mood disorders, determining the severity and duration of their experiences.

• Develop innovative, personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring that their goals, needs, and preferences are central to the therapeutic process.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adjusting strategies as per individual client feedback and progress.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, promoting understanding of treatment options and self-help strategies that can aid in recovery.

• Monitor client progress systematically, utilizing outcome measures to track improvement and adapt treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive care approach, effectively combining therapeutic and medical interventions.

• Stay current with the latest research developments in mood disorder treatment to inform practice and incorporate best practices in interventions.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation regarding client assessments, sessions, and treatment plans as per ethical and legal compliance.

• Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights and sharing knowledge with colleagues to improve clinical skills.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health, contributing to the de-stigmatization of mood disorders while ensuring clients’ needs are effectively represented and met.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses primarily on individuals diagnosed with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. You will work closely with clients from various walks of life, understanding their unique experiences and developing tailored therapeutic strategies that resonate with their specific journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Demonstrated understanding of psychopharmacology as it relates to mood disorder treatment.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to empathize and establish rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience, ideally specializing in mood disorders.

• A proven track record in fostering client engagement and achieving successful therapeutic outcomes.

The position offers a competitive salary, ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
