Position Overview

Easy Start Therapy, Inc., located in beautiful Bradenton, Florida, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will play a vital part in empowering patients to optimize their physical potential, particularly focusing on outpatient orthopedic care with a special emphasis on recovery from spine surgery. You will work 40 hours per week in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of new patients and develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
• Administer therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall physical function, particularly following spine surgery.
• Document patient progress meticulously using our electronic medical records system, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational guidelines.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including physicians, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to ensure cohesive patient care and treatment planning.
• Lead patient education efforts, informing patients and their families about proper body mechanics and preventive strategies to reduce the risk of injury.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in adherence to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and contribute to the continuous professional development of the therapy team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on outpatient orthopedic patients, particularly those recovering from spine surgeries. You will work with a diverse patient population, including young adults, middle-aged individuals, and seniors, each presenting unique challenges and rehabilitation needs. Our approach is holistic, integrating physical, emotional, and social aspects into treatment plans to foster comprehensive healing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT) from a recognized institution.
• Must hold a valid and active physical therapy license in the state of Florida, with ongoing compliance throughout employment.
• Current CPR certification, which must remain valid during employment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, particularly with a focus on spine surgery rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, as well as electronic medical records systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Compensation and Benefits
