Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly document all aspects of patient care, including clinical notes, billing, and communications with the wider healthcare team, ensuring all records are compliant and up-to-date.
• Provide comprehensive assessments of patients, developing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs and continually evaluating their progress.
• Maintain strict adherence to regulatory standards, including HIPAA and Medicare guidelines, while ensuring the utmost confidentiality and security of patient information.
• Effectively communicate with patients and their families, explaining treatment protocols and answering questions while fostering a positive therapeutic alliance.
• Conduct one-on-one patient sessions, primarily focusing on physical rehabilitation, strength training, and functional mobility to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working primarily with a diverse group of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The typical patient population includes adults, but you may also encounter pediatric patients requiring specialized physical therapy services. Your ability to develop adapted therapy strategies will crucially support these individuals in their rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate degree is highly preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida is required.
• A solid foundation in anatomy and physiology with a focus on applying this knowledge to enhance patient care.
• Experience working with pediatric patients is desirable for expanding care capabilities.
• Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques, demonstrated through clinical practice.
• At least one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient setting significantly enhances the applicant's profile.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical documentation tools.
• Background in continuing education or specialized certifications related to physical therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits
