Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with the Medical Director and other key personnel to design and coordinate mental health treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of patients.

• Conduct mental health in-service training sessions for medical, psychiatric, and security staff to enhance the overall therapeutic environment.

• Proactively intervene and manage mental health crises, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during emergencies.

• Participate in commitment hearings when necessary, advocating for patient needs within the healthcare framework.

• Develop comprehensive treatment goals and individualized plans for patients, monitored through regular assessments and documentation.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient encounters, following all legal and ethical guidelines pertaining to medical documentation.

• Verify previous mental health histories, including understanding any psychotropic medications prescribed, to inform current treatment strategies.
